LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Several Las Vegas Strip hotel employees have informed 13 Action News that plans are being implemented when it comes to helping to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
At the Wynn hotel-casino, two employees said over the past few weeks there have been double the number of people on the floor disinfecting slot machines.
The majority of table games have also added a bottle of hand sanitizer, which a pit boss said is used by dealers before they start playing and washing down the tables between games. Also, every couple of hands the cards get removed to be sanitized or shredded and a bartender at a floor bar said he's wiping counters every 20-30 minutes.

At the Venetian and Palazzo hotel-casinos, several employees said they've added staff to every bathroom for round-the-clock sanitizing of doors, handles, counters, and toilets.
A pit boss said the resort is being 'proactive but not ridiculous.'
There are also central sanitizers between table games but not individual bottles.
Another pit boss said they're not cleaning cards, but decks are shredded every few days, and another employee said there are also employees around the casino sanitizing everything that is frequently touched, including walls and escalator rails.

At the Mirage hotel-casino, an employee said they are 'doing what they can,' using a special disinfectant and disinfecting more often.
Hand sanitizing stations have been added to high-traffic areas, and another employee said these changes were written in a memo the company sent to employees outlining how they could protect themselves and to keep the casino safe for visitors.
